Mental Health Lawyer - 6 month contract employment opportunity
Queensland Advocacy Incorporated is recruiting a full time lawyer (75 hours per fortnight) for 6 months. Part time working arrangements will be considered for the right applicant.
The lawyer’s role will be primarily to provide representation before the Mental Health Review Tribunal in forensic matters and electroconvulsive therapy. The lawyer will also assist vulnerable clients between hearings and support the work of other QAI services, such as legal advice, representation and referral of guardianship and administration matters, restrictive practices and human rights.
The role is paid at QCSCAA Level 6.1 (approximately $85000 plus super and access to salary sacrifice).
