Announcing our new CEO
Queensland Advocacy Incorporated (QAI) is very pleased to announce the appointment of our new CEO, Matilda Alexander.
Matilda is an award-winning human rights lawyer with a solid background in successfully leading community legal services, including Prisoners’ Legal Service and the LGBTI Legal Service. She will bring a wealth of experience and a passion for justice to the role.
In Matilda’s words:
“I am thrilled to be taking up this role. QAI inspires me as an organisation that lives and breathes the human rights of their clients. The work of QAI over many years has ensured the perspectives of the most vulnerable people with disability are central to building an inclusive society. This work benefits all of us every day. It will be my honour to lead this organisation to continued success in service delivery and systems advocacy.”
Matilda will commence her position with us from 22 March 2021.
