Event Details
Please join us this International Day of People with Disability as we discuss the practical solutions already being used across Queensland to make education safe, accessible and inclusive for everyone, and reduce suspensions.
The A Right to Learn Campaign is joining with QAI’s Voices for change event series to bring you this important discussion.
2025 has been a huge year for the Right to Learn campaign, encouraging Queensland schools to use suspension as a last resort and focus on safety, accessibility, and inclusion for all students.
Disabled students account for 64% of suspensions, yet they only making up 25% of the student population in Queensland. We want these experiences to change for students, families, and educators. We want a meaningful partnership that plans for greater engagement and true inclusion in all schools.
Join our virtual town hall to hear from Queensland educators who are doing things differently and hear from the families who are seeing the difference.
This one hour discussion will host our panel of educators and parents and then invite questions from the audience. If you would like to submit your question in advance please email it through to qai@qai.org.au.
We will also be sharing links to other organisations and resources that can support students in their schooling at the end of the session.
